Payment Methods

We do not take payments through this website, and you cannot add credit to your account via it either.

At present the following methods are used:

- Free Borrow Voucher  (Good for the borrow of 1 item for 1 borrowing period (up to 7 days). If multiple items are in a reservation we will still charge for the remainder, deducting only the highest item fee as the free borrow. Further Loan Extensions & Overdue fees for that item are still charged at the appropriate rate (with payment taken upon item return).

- Tempo Time Credits - 1 time credit = up to £5 worth of loan fee.  Follow link to find out more about this 3rd Party volunteer rewards scheme.

Please note that while we do not charge for the courier service an additional £donation towards its running costs are welcome.

Extension Fees

If you are extending the borrowing period for item(s) the payment for these will be charged upon return. The Amount(s) owed will be indicated on on your loan's page.

(Please note that during the extension process the site might ask you for a payment type. Simply select one to complete the extension. This does not mean a payment has been taken and it can differ from the method used to pay when the item is returned.)

Overdue Fees

We charge 50p per day for any overdue items, though we do have a 24hr grace period before this is activated. Payment will be charged alongside any additional outstanding payments.

This fee will be waived by us if we initiate the overdue as a result of our own actions/issues (e.g. change of courier collection schedule, main store closed etc.) We will inform you accordingly.

IMPORTANT - if you have an issue with returning an item to us on time PLEASE CONTACT US (email/text before store opening hours of due day or text/phone - as early as possible - during store hours. This includes for courier collection, regardless of courier schedule. Please DO NOT use Facebook/Instagram Messenger).

It is important to do so as we may be able to make alternative arrangements for item return (such as collection by us/ out-of-hours collection time &/ day, alternative drop-off point etc.). Please also be aware that we may have other borrowers waiting for the item, so prompt return is important.


IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER

Your Account may sometimes show a positive or negative amount of money supposedly in it. These are phantom amounts which have been caused by various bugs and glitches created as the continuously developing software we use is updated.

For the purposes of processing loan checkouts we ignore these amounts (positive & negative) and charge what is indicated as the loan cost.

WE DO NOT TAKE ANY MONEY VIA OUR WEBSITE!

You cannot add any real money to your account as we have no mechanism to do so. You also cannot spend any positive amounts indicated on your account, and you do not owe us for the negative amounts.
